Description
The 3 Bay Downwind Gwened is the ideal board for long-distance surfing enthusiasts, whether on ocean swells, choppy waves in moderate winds or higher, or even on inland waters. Its curved rocker allows it to chain bumps for several hundred meters.
However, it’s also a very fast and responsive board in less choppy conditions, thanks to its exceptional stiffness and lightness.
The 3 Bay Downwind Gwened is generally shaped in 14′ and 16′ lengths, with widths ranging from 20″ to 28″. It is available in two construction types: BRUSH CARBON and EXTREME CARBON. This board stands out for its unique three-fin design, improving its stability and maneuverability in rough conditions or for larger riders.
The 3 Bay Brush Carbon construction results in lightweight and very robust boards. It consists of a double-sided lamination, a 160 g/m² carbon twill, a 105 g/m² fiberglass layer, with 10 cm wide Innegra tape reinforcements on the sides and several biaxial carbon reinforcement zones on the deck, as well as high-density PU foam under the fin boxes.
The 3 Bay Downwind Gwened comes with three FCS fins: one center on the US BOX and two side fins on the BOX FCSII.
Like all 3 Bay boards, we custom-build it especially for you. This means we can adapt the dimensions (length, width, thickness, and volume) to your size, skill level, age, and fitness level.
You also have a choice of colors and graphics.
We also offer several optional features such as a bow deck net, additional carrying handles, RS PRO rail protectors, a 3-Bay carry bag, as well as mounts for attaching a GoPro or similar device to the board, etc.
Orders can be placed during your workshop visit and meeting with shaper Patrice Remoiville, or during a phone conversation.
