Christine, a tailor-made passion

Christine is one of those stand-up paddle enthusiasts who chose to turn to 3 Bay after having covered thousands of kilometers on her inflatable board, which always follows her on her travels.

Christine was drawn to 3 Bay Paddle for two main reasons: the custom-made service and the expertise of Patrice Remoiville, the shaper behind each board. “What immediately won me over was his know-how and experience. He knows how to listen and transform specific needs into suitable boards,” she explains.

When she was looking to buy a Race SUP, Christine couldn’t find any boards that truly met her expectations in traditional stores. “I needed a stable, lightweight, and all-terrain board. Traditional brands didn’t offer that. The boards were either too wide and heavy to carry and maneuver on the water, or light but too narrow, which made them unstable and tiring when trying to balance,” she says. She adds that some were too geared towards specific bodies of water, such as flat sea or ocean conditions, which limited their versatility.

With 3 Bay Paddle, Patrice was able to design a board that met his exact expectations. “He listened to me and created a super stable board with a width of 25 inches, yet very light thanks to a reduced volume. It’s a board that allows me to sail both at sea and on rivers,” explains Christine.

Her board, a custom-made Allwater Irus, adapts to all situations: “On the river, it’s ideal for long hours of paddleboarding because it glides well and doesn’t tire me out. At sea, with lateral waves, it remains stable thanks to its three fins and very precise shape. And in downwind mode, it practically surfs by itself,” Christine says enthusiastically. She’s even added a personal touch to her board for her paddleboarding projects: “Patrice installed additional bindings so I can carry a bag on my multi-day outings.”

Christine advises without hesitation to those who are still hesitant to take the plunge with 3 Bay: “Why buy a standard race board, produced in thousands of copies, when at the same price, you can have a custom-made and personalized board?” She also emphasizes the importance of after-sales service: “Patrice is always there, whether to repair a small scratch or a more serious problem. This is an aspect that really makes the difference. »
