Our commitments

At 3 Bay Paddle, we’ve made the clear and conscious choice to manufacture in France since our creation in 2015. Our boards, whether for SUP Racing, surfing, foiling, or prone paddleboarding, are manufactured in our workshop located in Brittany, in Plescop, near Vannes. This local approach not only allows us to guarantee quality products, but also to reduce our environmental impact, by using materials primarily sourced from France and Europe.

“Made in France” at the heart of our approach

For us, Made in France isn’t a passing fad, but a genuine commitment. Patrice Remoiville, founder and shaper of 3 Bay, has always aimed to source local raw materials. From expanded polystyrene foam to carbon fiber, we seek to reduce distances, favor French and European suppliers, and contribute to a circular economy.

The origin of raw materials

When manufacturing a SUP Race at 3 Bay, we use carefully selected materials, the majority of which come from France and Europe. Here’s a breakdown of the raw materials that make up our boards:

• France: 59% (epoxy resin, fiberglass, carbon fabric)
• Europe: 34% (polystyrene foam from the Spanish Basque Country, colorants and varnishes)
• China: 5% (leash plugs, carrying handles, deck pads)
• USA: 2% (fin boxes)

This distribution allows us to ensure exceptional quality while reducing our carbon footprint. Every day, we strive to optimize this supply chain to minimize our environmental impact and encourage local purchasing.

Innovation and respect for the environment

Innovation is at the heart of our processes, but always with a responsible approach. We recycle the foam scraps generated during the manufacturing of our boards, thanks to a local partnership with the KNAUF factory. In addition, we are actively working to implement carbon fiber recycling and reduce our use of solvents as much as possible. We are convinced that every action counts when it comes to preserving our environment, and we are constantly looking for new solutions to make our production even more respectful of the planet.
